The soundtrack is a snapchat of 1994 high school American culture. While the genres are diverse, it should be noted that when Evan is in more intimate environments or when he is alone, the music is of the grunge variety. This gives a little more insight into how Evan puts on a front around most of his ‘friends’, but given the chance to be alone, he sinks into a haunted version of himself.
